Genesis 17

Despite Abram’s lack of faith at times, God had a plan of redemption through Abram.  In chapter 17, we see God’s  covenant to Abraham.  God also communicated His requirement of circumcision.  Brother Nehemiah shares why God requires this mark of circumcision:  as a sign of obedience to Him in all matters, as a sign of belonging to His covenant people, as a symbol of cutting off the old life (sin), and to separate God’s people from pagan worship to develop true worship to a true God.  We also learn how baptism is a mark today for us as believers.
