Jeremiah 20–In this passage we see the emotional ups and downs that Jeremiah experiences as he analyzes what has befallen him as he obeys God’s call. The reality is that in the end, Jeremiah’s opponents won’t prevail; God will triumph. We should remind each other of that as well.

Jeremiah 17:1-18–“There are two paths,” the Lord tells Jeremiah. “The cursed path and the blessed path.” Which path you are on is determined by the thing your heart trusts in. “I, the Lord, search the heart and examine the mind,” God says. Who or what is your heart trusting in?
Jeremiah 15–Jeremiah complains to God that it is tough to be His follower. In response, God reminds Jeremiah that it is all happening the way He said it would. And it would continue according to God’s plan. Judgment will come but repentance will lead to restoration.
Jeremiah 11:18-12:17–Those who are disobeying God seem to be thriving. “How is this right?” Jeremiah asks. God’s complete answer may surprise you.
Jeremiah 8:19 – 9:6, 23-24– In these verses Jeremiah seems to have lost hope and he is crying out for a comforter. This emotional state is echoed by many in our midst today. God says the reason is that people don’t really know who He is. He says, “I am the Lord, who exercises kindness,…
Jeremiah 7:1-8:3–Jeremiah preaches a sermon to the people. He tells them that God says your time is up. Things have got to change. The prophet reminds them of God’s initial promise: “If you obey me, I will be your God.” It is through obedience that the nation will be restored.
Jeremiah 5:10-6:30–The Lord continues to inform Jeremiah how to answer when the people ask, “Why is God doing this to us?” God says they have failed the test and their time is up. God will now allow the fruit of their own schemes to come upon them.
Jeremiah 5:1-31–The Lord directs Jeremiah how to answer when the people ask,”Why is God doing this to us?” The source of their problems is that they have lied about God and continued to do whatever they wanted to do. They are experiencing the consequences of their actions.
Jeremiah 4:5-5:9–There is a problem. The people have continued to rebel and refused to repent. It is obvious that judgment is inevitable. What will happen? Stay tuned . . .
Jeremiah 3:1-4:4–This is a plea from a grieving God calling his people to repent and return to him. “Return, faithless people,” declares the Lord, “For I am your husband and I choose you.”
