FOUNDATIONS: A THEOLOGY OF PRAYER

In this second sermon in our mini series on “Foundations”, Pastor Mark Lockett preaches on the theology of prayer.  We learn the right approach to prayer is with sincerity of heart, as well as with the simplicity of a child (Matthew 6:5-8).  We learn the right expectations of prayer:  We have access to God through Christ, are in submission to the will of the Father, desire to make much of God, and are keeping short accounts relative to sin (John 14-16).  And finally, we learn the right attitude to silence in prayer:  God teaches us persevere in prayer and that bad theology is thinking evil of God (Luke 11:5-10).
