Lamentations 2

All sin has consequences whether it is individual, personal sin or corporate sin. In this passage, the writer of Lamentations (believed to be Jeremiah) confesses that God has kept His promise to bring the consequences of sin upon the people who are guilty. “Cry out to the Lord!” he exhorts God’s people.

But why? Why should we cry out to God when we are suffering because of sin? The answer to this question will be addressed next week. Stay tuned…
