A couple of weeks ago, my wife and I were listening to Pastor Chris's sermon on the
internet. Pastor Chris was mentioning about seeing things correctly. Then I heard him
mentioning my name. When I heard it, I felt like God was tapping my shoulder, telling
me, "Ron, you have to testify!"
It may be true that I can't see, but that doesn't mean I can't see Jesus. Even though
bad things happen, like being blind, it does not mean God does not love you. He has
taught me to be very grateful for what I have and not to focus on what I don't have or
can't do. He made me realize that I can't take credit for one good thing in my life.
Everything good that I have done has been through Him allowing me to do it. I find it is
all too easy to take personal credit for what God has done. I also realize that no matter
how many things I have done wrong, or how many times I have failed, Jesus is there to
wipe away my failures and to forgive my sins in order to allow me to live in eternity with
Him. I feel it is good to remember that none of us can do enough good things to earn
our way into heaven. I do know that if these things hadn't happened to me, my
salvation would have been in danger.
I just want everyone to know that I feel very blessed and if anyone would like to talk to
me about this, I'd be glad to share and to listen. I thank Jesus for His love and grace.
