Ephesians 1:13-14–In these two brief verses we get just a glimpse of the amazing role the Holy Spirit plays in the life of those who are born again. Thank You, Lord for this gift.
Ephesians 1:7-13–God the Son has blessed us by being God’s beloved; by ransoming us; by redeeming us by His blood; by forgiving our transgressions; by redeeming us according to the riches of His grace; and by proclaiming to us God’s truth, the Word of Truth, the Gospel.
Ephesians 1:3-12–God has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realms in Christ. He has chosen us. He has made known to us the mystery of His will. He has permitted us to obtain an inheritance. Receive it! Praise Him!
Ephesians 1:1-3–Ephesians is a general epistle written directly to us. It represents Paul’s urgent and essential message for the church.
Genesis 16:1-11–Hagar is running away from her difficult situation when she is intercepted by God. He asks her, “Where have you come from? Where are you going?” This is a timely question for us to ask both corporately and individually.
Matthew 16:13-20–This passage conveys a turning point in the disciples’ understanding of who Jesus is. Scott Sterner brings an important reminder that it is Jesus who builds the church and the power and truth of that fact applies to each of us.
Haggai 2:1-7– Guest speaker Dorian Hardin says that to navigate the transitions in life we need vision and we need to “prune our glory.”
Jude–In this letter, Jude urges the saints to contend for the faith that was once for all entrusted to the saints. This is done by examining those who claim to speak for God. What they say and what they do should always be compared with Scripture. Be alert!
1 Timothy 6:12; 2 Corinthians 5:7–God has called us to fight the good fight. He has given us everything we need to win the battle–the armor and the weapons. How do we access this important equipment? John Jones tells us that is done by faith.
Matthew 14:22-33–This familiar passage has much to say to us about what our response should be to the storms of life. “Don’t be afraid.” Listen to His voice. He is the Son of God.
