1 John 5:13-21–The letter of 1 John closes with some valuable information about the believer’s prayer life as well as some reminders about things that every believer should know.

1 John 5:1-12–Here we see that the faith that overcomes the world has everything to do with the object of our faith. The faith that is on display here is believing in Jesus, the Christ, the Savior, the Son of God.
1 John 4:7-21–As John expands on each of the “tests” he introduced at the beginning of the book, the focus in this passage is love. What does love look like? Where do we get the power to love one another? What is the result of having love on display in our lives?
1 John 4:1-6–There are two kinds of spirits at work in the world–evil and good. How can you tell the difference? This sermon looks at the test provided by the apostle John.
1 John 3:11-24–“We should love one another.” In this passage, John covers the who, what and why of love. The challenge for us is to take steps toward loving someone as the Holy Spirit directs us.
1 John 2:28-3:10–Why should we live a moral life? In this passage, John gives us three persuasive reasons why it makes sense to do so. If you are a child of God this is information that you need to know!
1 John 2:18-27–In this passage, John inserts another “test” to determine if we are truly His. The test question is: Who is Jesus? Better get this one right. A wrong answer has dire consequences.
1 John 2:12-17–John takes some time in his letter to remind his readers–no matter what level of spiritual maturity they are in–that they are part of the family of Christ.
1 John 2:3-11–In this passage, the apostle John indicates there are two questions we can ask ourselves in order to test if we really know God. 1) Do I obey His commands? 2) Do I love my brothers and sisters? Where do you stand?
1 John 1:5-2:2–This passage deals with 3 claims that we can make that don’t measure with the reality of our lives. This is sin. Yet, God has a remedy for our sin if we confess it.
